Job Description

Designation: Legal Engineer

Experience (years): 5+ years

No: of vacancies: 3

Location: Remote (India based)

Timing: 3pm to 12 midnight IST

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Immediate Joining is preferred

As a Legal Engineer you need to be a technologically adept individual who sees the opportunity to improve legal processes with the intelligent use of technology. You will need to collaborate with the clients to understand their requirements along with the implementation and technology team to translate the client requirements into AI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Legal engineering, workflow automation, contract assembly and contract automation implementations for all customers
  • Assisting the Legal Transformation team to build and deliver legal transformation plans for new customers
  • Assisting the Implementation team where required.
  • Supporting machine learning and AI initiatives in relation to current and future developments.
  • Understanding the customers requirements in relation to Ai output and executing the same using client tool.
  • Understanding the customer’s requirements in relation to workflows and executing the same using client tool.
  • Understanding the customer’s “gap” from current process to the future process and come up with creative ways to resolve them.
  • Be agile and responsive to the customer’s needs and requirements.
  • Assisting in all matters relating to legal engineering and legal design.
  • Working closely with the customers to ensure that the Ai software is functioning correctly and meeting their requirements.
  • Engage in testing AI models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning large language models (LLMs), and building proprietary datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to follow all the information security policies, procedures, rules and regulations as stipulated in the manuals.
  • Responsible to take immediate action to prevent any undesirable situations and report to the officers.
  • Responsible to take part in their assigned role in the event of an emergency situation.

Authority

  • To report any security incident or weaknesses, which comes to their knowledge.

Contract Staff

  • Responsible to follow the rules and regulations and move within the area specified.
  • Responsible to obey the instructions for all the officers and staff regarding the work and in emergency situations.

Responsible to report any undesirable incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience working in relation to legal aid having a qualification in law (L.L.B/L.L.M).
  • Have experience working in legal services including drafting and negotiating contracts and preferably with an IT background.
  • Be able to interpret and analyse data from multiple sources and build systems and reports that solve business problems.
  • Have experience working with practice/case management systems to improve existing systems and develop new processes that increase productivity.
  • Be articulate, knowledgeable and have excellent presentation skills.
  • Have strong organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrable fluency in working with different types of legal documents.
